When I was a teenager in Los Angeles in the 1970s we used to have hundreds of “unhealthful smog days.” You could see the smog in the air. You could smell the smog. That all went away because of the EPA. They oversee our clean water, public areas etc. We need them.

Why?
This will mostly impact poorer red states. Oh well.
I’ve said it before but not often, it’s time for environmentalists to arm up, before it’s too late. When is it time to forcefully stop those who are killing us?

They want to remove the consideration of climate from any policy discussions. No regulations can refer to climate.

The American right is fundamentally fueled by hate and out group dynamics. If and when they achieve total power in the U.S., they will just start eating each other alive.
Without someone, something, or anything to hate, they are lost. For many of them, their entire existence is about destroying people. Especially, other Americans. When you think about it, ironically, no other group in the world, likely hates Americans more. Because the Democrats, liberals, and leftists they obsessively surveil, harass, and hate so much, are in fact, Americans.
