It doesnt matter. Grewsome Newsome will be the 2028 Democratic candidate, and he will win.
The NY Post? Could you not find propaganda from Tucker or Kirk?
::checks Redfin:: Apparently, people are still willing to pay A LOT of money to live there.
California unemployment rate 5.3%
U.S. current unemployment rate 4.1%
U.S. unemployment 2023 rate 3.63%
What’s the first?
If you still got a McJob you’re getting $20 an hour!!
What happens when your tax base is just a bunch of rich people who can at any moment decide to move away. Can’t fix housing, Can’t fix crime, Can’t fix the budget Can’t fix energy and fuel costs and Can’t fix decelerating employment from business moving away.
So just out of curiosity, do all the wanna be influencers in LA count as employed or unemployed
Mostly cause of the increased pay for fast food workers
Meh. Not a Cali fan, but the rate isn’t that horrible.
Assuming it’s true anyway.
Will this drive the stock prices down?
“But the rate of profit does not, like rent and wages, rise with the prosperity, and fall with the declension of the society. On the contrary, it is naturally low in rich, and high in poor countries, and it is always highest in the countries which are going fastest to ruin.”
-Adam Smith
The higher the profit the worse off we are. Great job capitalism.
A lot of writers and production staff on shows are terminated at end of season and collect unemployment until rehired again next season.
It’s a tough state for employers.
This nonsense about the onerous corporate tax rate cracks me up.
$800 a year. Plus whatever profit you haven’t cycled back into business expenses like a smart person would do. It is not much.
Taxes and other localized expenses are not what is hurting our business right now. Uncertainty about whether or not we will still have a democracy in 2024 is making everyone afraid to spend money. And all this talk about tariffs REALLY dampens commerce. The first round of Trump tariffs nearly put us out of business, and there were no made-in-America alternatives to use in our products.
This kind of article just reads as more California bashing.
