  1. Thank you to all the French who support Ukraine in its fight for survival, your help will not be forgotten, as well as the help of the Lithuanians, Finns, Germans, Poles and many other nations, your help has saved the lives of thousands of defenders

    Together we are stronger!

  2. I don’t know if the organizational chart is that meaningful, but the UAV group has the same NATO ‘II’ designation for a battalion, suggesting at least 300 personnel (and perhaps a lot more) whose main job is flying and supporting UAV operations.

To my knowlege The largest UAV unit in the US Army at present is company sized, around 100 personnel.

  3. “They shall not pass” (No pasarán) also has a history among Republican forces during the Spanish Civil War.

  4. Their motto is “your mother was a Hamster and your father smelled of elderberries”🇬🇧🇺🇦

    Edit: cos I missed a ‘ out. I’m sorry I can’t help it.

  5. Hmm “on ne passe pas” translates to “we don’t pass”…

“They shall not pass” is something like “ils ne passeront pas”

  6. Ukrainian 155th Mech ‘Anne de Kiyv’, trained by France, with motto ‘On ne passe pas’.
That’s history full circle, of about a thousand years.

Kiyvan-Rus princess Anne of Kiyv (Anna Yaroslavna) was married to the French King in 1051.

    – many thanks to Yale university for making Timothy Snyder’s fantastic colleges ‘Making of modern Ukraine’ available on YouTube for free.
