  1. **It’s that time of year when we all start to think about getting cozy!**

The Hutsul village of Yavoriv has preserved a number of authentic crafts amidst the Carpathians. This is place where lizhnyk is made a woven sheep wool blanket used in rites and daily life. They cover beds, benches, carts and themselves in winter with this Hutsul blankets. Many local people have looms at home and are involved in this work since childhood. The technology is traditional: the thread is spun, then the blanket is woven, felted and combed out.
