>lose a record number of approval points in just one month
New Labour, ladies and gentlemen. Will they ever apologize to Corbyn?
I mean look, the truth is just that Europe -both the UK and the continent- has been demoted to a geopolitical B-lister. The question with incoming new governments is not who can grow the economy or increase their power and influence the most, but who can cushion the fall the best.
They’re all just decline managers now, and the sooner Europeans accept this the sooner they can get out of the cycle of throwing a baby tantrum over the old government and handing them a historic defeat, only to immediately turn on the new government, throw another baby tantrum and hand them historically low approval ratings.
From when he was elected party leader to the start of the election, this guy remained so ambiguous with his agenda.
One day the campaign starts, the manifesto finally shows up and labour promises all these things like “Great British Energy”, more money for the NHS, railway nationalization and winter fuel payments.
Upon ascending to power “oops! Looks like there’s no money to spend. Well fuck the manifesto, we’re just going to do whatever we want! Is that a gift? Don’t mind if I do!”
If Kier wants to betray the people like that then this outcome is no suprise. As far as I’m concerned, Labour has no longer any mandate to rule.
Probably something to do with the new-labour being exactly what old-tories were. Also the Genocide supporting rhetoric from him and his cronies. What a pathetic shower they are
If he had the spine to tax the wealthy a little more to fill the black hole left in the budget by the Tories, then he’d be immensely popular. He has absolutely no charisma, no known principles, and his continued obsciecense to Israeli interests has won him no favour.
He is a right-winger, not surprising. If “Labour” comes to power after so many years and yet they don’t do things differently, then why elect them in the first place
I mean, the Tories spent over a decade f***ing the country and the working class sideways, but sure let’s all blame the new Labour government after a few months in power.
They said they’d fix things, and they said it would be difficult, and they said it would take a lot of time and effort. Maybe give them a bit more of a chance and not resort to having the memory of a goldfish.
