I see this where I work and my heart breaks for them. They need to get out and vote if they want things to get better.

Yeah it’s always been an unspoken rule that like Christmas Eve is a fake day of work as is like 1/2 the Fridays in the summer. Which magically rush hour starts at 2:00.
Work in this country is mostly pointless anyways
I used to think the common advice of just being known for showing up when you are supposed to a be ready to work a full day puts you ahead of 50% of the work force was an exaggeration.
If this is true then maybe it’s much more than 50% now.
Gee, are we supposed to be chipper after starting our careers buried in debt, fighting tooth and nail for shitty, low-paying jobs where the boss is an out-of-touch boomer or gen-exer who has less education than us but owns two homes? Not to mention the multiple massive financial crises the old-heads made and benefitted from.
>The root cause, as per Vitality’s findings, is stark: Younger, less affluent workers are grappling with mental health challenges without adequate employer support.
I’m confident that return-to-office mandates have caused happiness to plummet without increasing productivity.
>Adding to the strain, those earning under £30,000 ($38,000) annually feel 86% more neglected by their workplace than higher-income colleagues.
Wow, what a surprise that making a low wage makes workers unhappy.
>Essentially, for 54 days a year, Gen Zers clock in but achieve zilch due to mental hurdles and a reluctance to seek help from higher-ups.
It’s hard to ask for help from people who don’t know how to open a PDF but who want you to produce 80 hours of work in a 40-hour window.
Until I started managing my boss different I was 60+ hours of work. With a few changes and managing her way differently, my week is done by Wednesday, usually.
