The sooner GBeebies are gone the better, you’ve got to be another level of thick as shit to listen to anything they put out.
It’s about time Ofcom got some balls to go after them.
Tory donors and GB News: Totally worth it! Peanuts. Ha ha ha
And 9 months to reach a decision that would take 30min. Obviously, after the GE.
Election Fraud is “legal”.
A few fines are worth it to them in order to spout there propaganda.
They need there license revoked.
Meanwhile ITV ex Labour MP interviewing his wife…a current Labour MP and Home Secretary….silence.
Ofcom do have to be careful. If they’re toothless there is no point in them existing but if they’re too strict on GB News the next tory government might defang them.
But thank god they exist. America should be an obivous lesson in why we should avoid having any partisan news channels.
My guess is that the 100k won’t change their ways… it’s almost a bargain all things considered
>The media watchdog says he was given an “uncontested platform to promote the policies and performance of his government in a period preceding the UK General Election”.
An interesting point of argument to lead with given that the election wasn’t even called at this point.
“At the people’s channel we will continue to fearlessly champion freedom, for our viewers, for our listeners and for everyone in the United Kingdom. As we have all seen, this is needed more than ever.”
Conspiracy promoting billionaire offshore hedge fund backed gobshites needed more than ever?
I made a complaint about the BBC to OFcom after the customary two complaints directly to the BBC six months ago and nothing, these people are utterly corrupt and compromised.
They’ll need harsher penalties and swifter action that than in future for it to be a deterrent.
Framing political agendas as “news” is a horrendous step towards the US model.
Ofcom ought to be given some fucking teeth. As if GBNews and their deep pocketed bankrollers give a shiny shit about 100K!
> The broadcast regulator has found GB News in breach of its rules 12 times since it launched in 2021
Whatever Ofcom are doing it is clearly having zero deterent effect.
– The fines should double for every violation.
– The other parties should be given equivalent air time if they want it.
– 10 strikes and you should lose you license.
And IMO, ALL political editorial should only be published / broadcast under a big red banner saying “Opinion Not News”. Ideally with everyone in their sloppies, and circus music in the background.
However will they manage to pay such an insurmountable fine?!

They didn’t get great value for money out of that one in the end did they, lol.
I didn’t edit the title by the way. Reddit automatically picked up the webpage title set by BBC, which is different from the article title.
