Just an American here but I thought you lot might appreciate the “Queens Elizabeth” costumes I sewed

  1. A few more details: I wanted to dress my little girl up in something over the top and me up in something comfortable to chase her in. A match made in heaven! I did all the sewing for both costumes—my jacket and hat, and her dress with all the embroidery and beadwork. No crown for her as she was in a no hats stage! Everyone loved it and lots of people got one or the other but not both.

  2. Teach you husband Elizabeth’s bag code. She wore the bag on one arm. When she eventually switched arms, it was the signal to leave.

  3. Great job making these! I ADORE that your little girl is holding a~~n~~ stoat like the painting.

  4. Top tier costumes. You have amazing sewing skills. The QE1 dress is beautiful and such a great copy. Your QE2 dress is spot on too!

  5. This is super, you should post on r/sewing if you haven’t already.

Long live the queens of Halloween!

  6. Love your costume and that’s absolutely awesome you made it yourself,
    🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸

  7. There’s a sub Reddit called things I made and I think this would fit in. Incredible work!

  8. *curtseys* You look lovely M’aams.

Lizzie met a few kids dressed as her and always loved it, she was a great grandmother after all. I’m sure she and her namesake would both have been thrilled by your costumes.

  9. Met HM the Q, your costume is very on point – but I think the little one’s QE1 costume steals the show. Very well done!

  10. Didn’t completely match the embroidery on Queen Elizabeth I’s gown. 2/10.

Just kidding. Great effort! Like the emoji game too
