   EVs are inevitably the future. I love my ioniq 5 and would never go back to dino juice. Can power my home in an emergency too, better than a tesla

5. The EV is collapsing on its own, I know there are positive things going on but even this administration realizes that pushing it harder is just more stress on an economy that is already crashing

7. Unless Trump is willing to cut even bigger subsidy checks to petroleum interests and flat-out shovel taxpayer money to gas-car buyers – I wouldn’t put either of these past him – fossil-fuel vehicles are on the way out.

   EV battery prices continue to drop faster than predicted, to $80/kWh for a finished battery pack by 2026, which not only drops EVs below gasoline vehicles in *lifetime* total cost of ownership, but puts them lower *off the lot*. I don’t see how Trump stops that, even through tariffs.

16. If Trump wins, EV sales will go through the roof before he takes office if there is any way he could kill the EV credits. I doubt it, though, as it was passed by Congress and signed into law, so he has no authority over it.
