She injected an unknown substance into herself sent from the internet.
I mean at what point does society need to accept a portion of our population will die from stupidity and it isn’t worth spending any more money or outrage to stop it.
She did lose weight though… So… It wasn’t all bad.
She took five times the dosage of a dodgy GLP-1 substitute which she was sent for free in PR and had to “make up” herself. Therefore, weight loss drugs are all terrible and no one should take them. Obviously.
Leigh-Anne says she would never use skinny jabs again and has now gone down one dress size by losing weight the “healthy” way
I mean Jesus Christ.
She never even acknowledges that she made the mistake by injecting 5 times the recommended dosage 😂
They dont name the injection so it seems like it was some off brand thing
Yeah, I’m going to inject something I didnt ask for and was sent to me …. erm, fuck no
also “the brand” – what is that?
It looks like they sent her (if they actually did, and she didnt get them from a salon or somewhere completely random, looks like she either got the USA version, or something else, because she sure as shit didnt get the UK Pen version
*A mum claims she almost died when she accidentally injected “five times” the recommended dose of a skinny jab, which was sent to her as a “freebie” by a brand to promote their meds on* [*Instagram*](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/instagram)*.*
Used to be clenbuterol (potential heart damage) then it was DNP (deadly hyperthermia) now it’s dodgy GLP-1 agonists.
seems like every few years something new and dangerous comes out for the “can’t be arsed to diet and exercise” crowd to try
“I went to the doctors and they said the reason we didn’t prescribe this [the weight loss injection], is because you don’t need it.”
Jesus wept.
“I took 5 days worth in one hit”
Idiot.
Can we have an automod which provides an archive of news stories?
Lol
Lucky it wasn’t tbe substance
It’s almost as if there are good reasons why we have doctors and pharmacists and prescriptions and a medicines regulatory authority and highly regulated licences for drugs instead of just injecting yourself with any old crap that unknown people on the Internet send you.
I’m on one of the popular jabs (for diabetes 2 but I am also losing weight – 3lbs a fortnight on average). Just about to finish the course after six months. Not showing any diabetes symptoms any more. Hopefully I can stay healthy now. It’s going to be strange to feel hungry again.
(Put on the weight due to depression and having to look after my terminally ill husband)
I’m not sure I would just inject random stuff people sent me for free but if I did I would read the instructions first at least. The bit about her doctor did make me laugh.
I’m in favour of people being charged back by the nhs for fixing stupid mistakes (Turkeyteeth repair sort of thing) and for requiring insurance for sports/past times that have a high likelihood of injury but otherwise I’m glad the nhs is there to help the misfortunate
When did these jabs start becoming popular for weight loss?
I’d never heard of them then started getting bombarded with adverts from various companies trying to flog various weight loss injections maybe 6 months or so ago.
r/compoface
Can you imagine being stupid enough to jab yourself with something that you get free for posting on Instagram? 🙄😆
