For the Signature challenge this week, the bakers showcased their meringue-making skills by creating exquisitely-filled meringue nests.
Up next, the bakers attempted Prue’s twist on a classic British steamed suet pudding.
Finally, for the Showstopper, the bakers gave their own twist on the beloved Italian dessert tiramisu.
At the end of the episode, another baker left the tent after Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood made their decision, but whose time was up in Week 7?
Read on for everything you need to know.
Who left The Great British Bake Off 2024 in Week 7?
Sumayah. Channel 4
Host Alison Hammond had the difficult job of telling Sumayah that she was the seventh baker to be eliminated from the competition.
“I feel like it wasn’t one specific event that let me down, it was just kind of a series of mistakes here and there,” said Sumayah of her exit. “I have learned to be more confident in myself and my ideas. You learn a lot from everyone, and I feel I am going to take a piece of everyone away with me.”
Prue said: “I am really sorry to see Sumayah go home, she is so talented and so artistic and her flavours are so bold and imaginative, but I think this week she had a problem.”
Who left The Great British Bake Off 2024 in Week 6?
Nelly. Channel 4 / Mark Bourdillon / Love Productions
As autumn swept the tent, it was time to say goodbye to Nelly.
Noel had the difficult job of breaking the news to the palliative care assistant from Dorset, who held her head high.
Speaking about her exit, Nelly said: “It’s not commiseration, it is a positive, I am so ready to leave. I never ever thought I would get to round 6!
“I know my children are so proud. It’s not to teach them to win, it is to teach them to enjoy. Don’t cry! Everyone is crying…”
She continued: “Of course I am happy – in each of your heart is a piece of Nelly and you are never going to forget me. Cake – we can bake!”
Speaking about what she’s learned from the experience, Nelly added: “I learnt who I am! And that I’m worthy!”
Who left The Great British Bake Off 2024 in Week 5?
Andy. Channel 4 / Mark Bourdillon
Andy became the fifth baker to leave the Bake Off 2024 tent after crumbling under pressure during Pastry Week.
Alison Hammond had the difficult job of telling Andy that his time was up in the tent, but he took it on the chin, admitting it was “sad” but he had “such a fantastic time”.
“I have had so many laughs,” he said. “But that’s the standard… C’est la vie!”
Prue said: “It’s so sad to see Andy go. I adore the guy, but he just didn’t have a good week.”
Who left The Great British Bake Off 2024 in Week 4?
Mike. Channel 4 / Mark Bourdillon
Mike became the fourth baker to leave The Great British Bake Off 2024 after failing to impress the judges with his Caramel Week concoctions.
Speaking of his exit, Mike said: “I feel it was my time to go, I am just this little farmer who does baking in the kitchen.
“I feel the quality of what everyone else is doing is just breathtaking. And yes I am going to miss everyone. That’s why I am sad. [Cries] One thing my mum said to me was, ‘Don’t cry.'”
Who left The Great British Bake Off 2024 in Week 3?
John. Channel 4 / Mark Bourdillon
John was the third baker to bow out from the Bake Off tent for the 2024 season, after competing in bread week.
It came just two weeks after he was named Star Baker in week 1. Noel revealed the news to John after Dylan was named as Star Baker for week 3.
On his departure, John said: “It is fine, it was expected, it was just a bad week this week. It’s just how it is. Because everyone is so talented, you drop the ball and then it is your time to go.
“From being the first Star Baker of this season, then to having a really good week last week… The tears are tears of pride, yeah.”
On his best and worst moments in the Bake Off tent, John later went on to say: “It’s still a pinch-me moment that I am the first Star Baker of series 15! The worst moment has to be sinking bagels… I have always baked bagels and never had that issue!
“In fact, I bake bread pretty often without any issues, but as you know, everything I baked on bread week was a disaster! It was certainly an overwhelming day!”
Who left The Great British Bake Off 2024 in Week 2?
Hazel and Jeff. Channel 4 / Mark Bourdillon
After taking part in Biscuit Week, it was revealed that Jeff and Hazel were the first two bakers to leave The Great British Bake Off 2024.
Alison had the difficult job of telling Hazel that she would be leaving the tent, while Jeff who was still feeling unwell, left earlier in the episode during the Technical challenge.
Of his departure, Jeff said: “I am fine, but this time around it just wasn’t right for me. I have really enjoyed it, everyone has been wonderful, there’s a great group of bakers in there. I didn’t make it very far, but there you go. It was wonderful, so thank you very much.”
“That’s OK, I did expect it,” Hazel said after her elimination. “All my bakes went wrong. Maybe I won’t make biscuit puppet theatres anymore!”

The Great British Bake Off. Channel 4 / Mark Bourdillon
No one! Fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief when it was revealed to the bakers that no one would be leaving the tent, due to Jeff feeling unwell during the first episode.
As the bakers returned for their second challenge, Alison told them: “Welcome back! As you can see, Jeff is not with us at the moment because he’s not feeling very well, but hopefully he’s going to be back next week.”
Before all was revealed, it was a tough decision for the judges as they were weighing up the different bakes from the three challenges.
“I think there are a couple [of] people who have struggled overall,” said Hollywood as they began deliberating. “Hazel and Christiaan.”
“I was disappointed in Christiaan’s sewing machine,” chimed in Alison, as Paul noted that “the flavour was too sour”.
Speaking of Hazel’s efforts, it was noted that it was “overbaked”. “It’s too early to send someone home,” said Noel – and it was as if he predicted it!
Viewers will have to keep their eyes peeled next week to see who leaves the tent.
The Great British Bake continues on Tuesday 12th November at 8pm on Channel 4.
