“already weakened continent” right ? But maybe a faster increase in EU defense budgets.
Also let’s see what the “King of the Debt” will do to his own country if he’s elected.
So far Trumps looking far ahead. Not a good night for Ukraine.
Seriously? A Europe that cannot handle a Trump victory DESERVES to be imperialised. Harsh? the EU has around 450 million people, it has the population advantage over America. Start leveraging that thing into some proper strategic independence that you aren’t worrying about who heads the US presidency. Europe alone should be more than enough for Ukraine to outfight Russia (population: 145 million).
As Macron said, Europe should not be dependent on America for its security.
I’m seriously fucking tired of worrying about the results of American elections. These next 4 years NEED to involve the EU growing a backbone and not depending so much on others
sorry zelensky
More Trump ! ? Putin must be dancing naked in the Kremlin.
He’s less of a disruptor, because that suggests he’s actually doing this with intelligence.
The man is weak, lazy, and greedy. And he will weaken the country he rules.
We’re so sorry
Trump will try to bludgeon Europe with an energy embargo. Among other things.
If Europe doesn’t band together and defeat Russia NOW, they will be fighting American trained and American equipped Russians in the near future.
It’s now 1am in the US. And trump has declared victory. Ukraine is lost. Sorry. It’s over. Putin won.
i’m deeply sorry. i still believe in ukraine. and believe europe can still help ukraine defeat russia. might even get better help from south korea now.
This is a disgrace. My country failed you Ukraine.
Japan defeated Russia with out US support, also Poland in 1920, and Chechnya in the first war. Maybe Ukraine is well prepared for this scenario.
America has never had a fascist leader before. There’s a first time for everything, but in every European country that had one, it ended badly. I don’t expect the Republican Party to put forward “normal” candidates after Trump—this is their future now.
I’m not betting Europe will step up, they’ll step back and focus on their own defense. It does kinda depend on how much Ukraine matters to Trump and how on top of their game the DoD is.
Welp. US support is gone.
Feels like without the US support, this war could – incredibly – get a lot dirtier than it is now.
Europe has got to make some very important decisions, quickly, and so does Ukraine. They aren’t likely to meekly vanish into history, but Putin’s appointee winning….again…. Is by far the worst thing to happen during the war’s timeline.
We’re going to see a pure, unrestrained Trump going forward. Far worse than the first time. Can’t believe I’m typing that.
Never thought I’d live to see the day where America fell, but here we are.
Europe needs to sort its own shit out
Europe needs to just worry about itself.
American is now a weak state.
RIP ukraine
guess europe probably shouldn’t have been fucking around for three years, at least they have some months to turn it around
Europe had 4 years to prepare. They did, well they did some things, but not nearly enough.
It should have been clear since the Bush presidency that the EU should not rely on the US.
As a European, whether the continent gets destabilized or not is fully our own responsibility. The only good outcome of the American election is that our politicians are now forced to either wake up and take responsibility or let Europe crumble
Putin won.
