I mean surely the braking system is just one of many failures that lend to this crash?
I’m not sure having two trains stop face to face is ever a safe or preferable thing to happen?
Was the train overly long or heavy or are signal blocks really tiny in wales?
It might just be unfortunate coincidence, but Transport For Wales is so woefully and comically inept in all regards, even compared to the Arriva days… It’s hard not to look at a disaster like this and think “Yeah they fail at everything, of course they fail at safety maintenance as well.”
Not even a dig at the staff, it just feels like another service that’s at a breaking point due to lack of investment.
