Well it’s not like his last admin was nice to green energy. We can expect the same this time around.
Yeah, well globally this is not going to affect renewable energy technologies in any significant way because the Biden Admin was inexplicably enthusiastic for tariffs on solar, batteries and EV so the US was already fucked in either case. It’s a lost cause, or let’s put it this way: Washington D.C. is the heart of oil country.
But for the rest of the world, well this is not their problem. They have cheap solar and EVs subsidized by China. I suspect the US is going to change course once the consequences of this nonsense begin to affect the bottom line but until then there’s plenty of oil left to burn for a nation that doesn’t give a fuck about the rest of the planet.
Biden was the wrong man at the wrong time. He wasted his four years with half measures and two-faced policies like loading the IRA with oil subsidies and nuke handouts while pretending it was going to bring low cost solar to the US at the same time he was doubling down on Trump’s tariffs. That was a failed administration and that much is clear by this point. The Democrats failed and I suppose that is their job in the scheme of the American political regime.
Ford will be happy after blowing 4 billon in losses to meet Biden’s regulations.
