3. Rather than lament  the results, we need to look forward and find a way to get this guy to play ball with Ukraine. This is the only productive way forward. It sucks, but it’s  the cards we have been dealt

10. Trump won’t care if Ukraine loses or Russia loses, so long as he isn’t sending anymore aid and money to Ukraine, he’ll see that as a win, so he’ll go about it the easiest way possible.

    I think the best thing for Ukraine now is to try and build relations with their strongest allies outside of the US.

    United Kingdom, Poland and France are probably the only hope Ukraine has now.

11. I too am very disappointed. I voted for Harris, but I don’t live in a swing state so it didn’t help much I fear.

    But we can only move forwards… The US is down for the count. What are Ukraine’s options? Is Europe providing enough support for Ukraine to continue the fight indefinitely even with the absence of America?

    Is there anything Biden can do with the rest of his term?

    Something that Trump can’t reverse?

    The “Wait till after the elections to not hand MAGA fuel about funding Ukraine/getting into another forever war” strategy has failed.

    What of that talk about Trump-proofing aid?

    Anything? January is still 2-ish months away.

    Remember the Trump pardons?

    Doesn’t Biden have powers like that?

15. What was the alternative? What did Harris promise to Ukraine that separated her from Biden’s current, failing strategy? How was Harris going to put Ukraine over the top to defeat Russia? Tens of billions of dollars in aid approved by Congress still not put to use. Why is that? I’m staunchly pro-Ukraine, but to apologize because the current US strategy, which is failing the Ukrainian people, is a bit melodramatic.

16. Don’t lose hope or give up folks.

    Trump winning doesn’t have to be the defeat of Ukraine.

    If you care about the outcome of his fight you need to call, email, and write your elected representatives. Let them know that this is one of your highest priorities in terms of who you vote for. Let them know that you vote based on who will continue sending aid to Ukraine.

    Trump will likely do basically nothing to prolong the conflict as much as possible, then increase or decrease the effort once the outcome is 100% clear.

24. I know they have been working towards “trump-proofing” future support to Ukraine and ties to our NATO allies. I don’t know how much they’ve gotten so far but it’s good to keep in mind that they still have a couple months before the handover. They need to kick it into high gear if they haven’t already. 🇺🇦/🇪🇺/🇺🇸 👍
