Shortcuts & hidden elevators in Monaco (Get around Faster)

  1. Great job mate, for someone like me who isn’t living in the principality for too long it’s very interesting and helpful.!! Can’t wait to flex to my friend when they visit!

  2. Great video!

Living in Floridan AH, I knew the family living in the penthouse and I have been there many times, maybe we met at some point.

You passed in front of another elevator between 4:20 and 4:30, the one just before port palace that brings you behind Hermitage, it’s also a great one to go to the post office from the port. And for wheelchair users you probably know that you can take the one in front of Meridien which will take you on the voie rapide, and then it connects you to another one that brings you on Boulevard d’Italie, right behind the old école des carmes.

  3. Nice video, but you missed some good ones so you will have to do a part 2 with all our suggestions (I think no one really knows by heart all the elevators and stairs 🙂 )

Near place d’armes down to the carrefour. It allows to skip all the stairs over carrefour where the zoo is (I think one of the few wheelchair friendly way to access Fontvieille without car/bus).
Very useful as in place d’armes you have a lot of bus stopping by so if you work in fontvieille you need to know this one.

Parking of place des moulins (access from the kid park or from the underpass) allows you to go from place des moulins to the rue rapide quite quickly as the parking has access both at top level and at the lowest one.

This parking is also a “shortcut”with car/bike/scooter: you enter the parking in place des moulins, you do all the seven/eight floors going round and round and you exit at the lowest level close to rue rapide (or viceversa). Parking ticket gives you 30 minute for free so no need to exit or pay. You just take the ticket and go down (with scooter or bike you can enter without taking the ticket).

Avenue kennedy all the way up to avenue de la costa, if you are on the port and want to go up over casino square is very fast.

Close to the starbucks there should be another one going down to fontvieille, but I only used it once.

  4. Awesome video man, and great to see some original content on the sub 🙂 And there were two elevators here I wasn’t aware of, so I’m gonna have to go check them out! (Location #6 and the very last one). I’m often out with the baby stroller so elevators are a life saver!

I think my favourite hidden elevator is the one inside the Patio Palace on Hector Otto that takes you up to the moyenne corniche.

Although not technically in Monaco, another cool passage way is the one that goes underneath Monte Carlo Beach and accesses a small public beach next to La Vigie.
