I read this on the news about Same-sex marriage Liechtenstein after the swiss referendum that approved it

My question for you who are from Liechtenstein is what are the chances of being approved?

I’m actually quite hopeful that the chances are good. When the vote on the registered partnership for same sex couples was, the results were quite a clear yes (around 70% if I remember correctly). I believe people would vote similarily.
Of course the prince can still veto it though, like they said in the article.
Pretty sure this is just a matter of time. The catholic church, and people close to them, are the biggest opponents to same sex marriage and already tried to block registered partnership by referendum – which they lost in an unprecedented fashion.
Support of the public and pretty much all relevant political forces seems to be a given.
The prince’s recent public statements are certainly not very encouraging, however acting head of state is his son who afaik hasn’t stated his opinion, so not sure how relevant the elders potential opposition would be. Personally I’d be surprised if this was already the “limit” – would certainly be a new low if it is.
