Canadian here. What is the winter weather usually like in Ireland?
What’s the story in Balamory, wouldnt you like to snow? ๐
Looks like ballamory ๐๐๐
Ah Cobh… One of those lovely surprises in Ireland for me.
>it doesn’t disappoint.
Gonna have to disagree with you on that. Most years we get snow, it’s an awful slushy mess that vanishes 0.5 seconds after hitting your driveway.
I live in the midlands, where it seems to just not want to snow
Instead we just get this shitty overcast weather constantly with freezing winds, itโs kind of annoying actually, Atleast snow looks nice and has a sense of peace to it. I just get to experience the cold wind and sleet, itโs annoying
Snow is frequently disappointing in Ireland, what???

A beautiful picture, lots of upvotes, lots of positive comments, and every one of OPโs responses downvoted. Never change r/Ireland
Those homes look comfy
More like the Diamond Isle amirite fellas.
I honestly can’t imagine living in a place where it doesn’t snow as a regular occurrence.
By God thatโs gorgeous, no matter when it was taken
The snow really makes the colourful houses pop
Literally usually disappoints when it snows it melts right away the majority of the time, are we talking about the same country here?
I drove down that road on a hot summers day and I almost shit my pants, I can only imagine trying to move one of those cars in the winter!
Such colorful houses. Beautiful.
Feck all snow here in Waterford . Even the snow forgets about this county
Best spot in Cobj
I know it’s an old photo but that slope has some potential…
I wonder why more places in Ireland don’t go for a bit more colour? We all agree that this street looks lovely, yet everywhere I go it’s just a sea of industrial greige.
Come to Canada, Iโll show you snow alright
whatever about the snow ..here in mitchelstown it is so cold …i can warm up at all ..and i certainly hate the cold …the gas is on all day …there is snow on the galtee mountains …

Ah, lovely Cobh.
It’s almost impossible to take a bad picture of that street and a few others like the Crescent in Cobh.
That’s definitely snow
That street looks lovely, even without the snow the house colours are amazing!
That isn’t recent by the way. The snow in Cork last night didn’t make it that far east
Its just a cold windy day here in Dublin ๐
That’s not from today anyway, didn’t get so much of a dusting of snow in Cobh.
Edit – tis from 2018 apparently. https://www.reddit.com/r/Cobh/comments/acus8q/deck_of_cards_snowy_street_in_cobh_march_2018/
