Hi everyone! We’re the Monaco Ocean Protection Challenge, hosted by the Fondation Albert II, Monaco Impact, the Institut Océanographique, and IUM! More information in the comments!
We are the Monaco Ocean Protection Challenge, an entrepreneurial competition hosted by the Institut Océanographique, the Fondation Albert II de Monaco, Monaco Impact, and the International University of Monaco! The MOPC is a competition where participants submit a business plan that can demonstrate a measurable impact on our oceans.
Our theme for the 4th edition of the MOPC is: “**When Circular Economy Saves the Ocean**”
As more and more pollution accumulates in our oceans, it’s time to turn towards a world of re-usables, or more specifically, a Circular Economy. A Circular Economy is one based on eliminating waste and re-using as much as possible! Your business plan does not have to fit the theme, just as long as it demonstrates a measurable and significant impact on the oceans.
**Never wrote a business plan?**
Well neither have most people we know, lol
Unfortunately, entrepreneurial competitions bottleneck anyone who’s not necessarily business-savvy, and really limits the amount of potential incredible ideas that could be proposed to protect our oceans! To alleviate this, we’ve created a system of documentation and zoom meetings to be able to guide you through the process of building a business-plan, from start to finish. In addition, we also have mentors for all of our teams that are selected to the finals, composed of professionals and notable figures in their industries, to guide the finalist teams to have the best possible business plans!
All finalists will be flown to Monaco with hotel included for the MOPC Finals in June of 2021! The prizes for the 4th edition haven’t been announced just yet (as we’re still finalizing them!), but the 3rd edition had cash prizes, plus “passes” for resources, marketing coaching, invitations to the Change Now Summit, and much more!
