Singer Bryan Adams has spoken about his close friendship with Princess Diana after they bonded over a song he wrote about her ‘doomed marriage’.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, he recalled how the Princess found the lyrics “very funny”, and invited him for tea so she could hear the song again.

The song ‘Diana’ was later retired by Adams, out of respect for Princess Diana, when she died in 1997.

  12. IMHO, disappointing you feature Harry in this video. In wake of his continuous use and monetization of his mother’s memory. Bryan Adams is fabulous and his recollections of Diana were wonderful!!!

  15. Everytime I see old footage of Harry as a Royal he looks relaxed, smiling and laughing. Compare that to now! Why did you allow yourself to be so brainwashed Harry? You've totally lost the person you were. That gold digger you married is evil personified.

  21. Harry betrayed his mother's wishes. She expected him to be the wingman and help William through this difficult job he would have but he turned his back on her and his brother.

  28. Why is Princess Diana important? Because she was the first spouse of King Charles III and because he had offspring with her, her offspring regardless of his status with her as spouse, will inevitably be King of the UK and Commonwealth 🇬🇧

  31. Bryan Adams is a true gentleman. I once met him in Langley British Columbia in 1977 or 78 when he was doing a Rod Stewart Impression show. He had a drink at our table. Several yrs later I heard he went out on a date with my relative who was then on Toronto’s 20 minute workout show. Bryan would have made Diana a great companion. He last I heard before he moved back to England lived in Langley. He is from England originally and North Vancouver. A great song for Diana and a great guy.

  32. Harry looks like a fool trying g to copy Diana walking down the dirt road. DIANA was kind gentle and compassionate. HARRY has no e of these qualities. He is nothing like his mother and trying to compare himself or Markle is ridicules
