Fighting continues in Gaza as death toll passes 22,000

Fighting continued across parts of Khan Younis and Rafah on Wednesday, as the death toll in Gaza crossed 22,000. Though Israel said it was withdrawing troops, its military said it was fighting intensive battles across Khan Younis city. Gaza health officials said 128 people had died in Israeli strikes in the past 24 hours.

    Coming up to 90 days since Hummus started this and a figure of 22,000 dead is given. During September 1970 the Jordanians killed 25,000 in 11 days.
