IDF reservists bombard Hamas terror infrastructures in Gaza

The IDF reports that reservists from the Kiryati Armored Brigade and 55th Paratroopers Brigade, operating in southern Gaza, have successfully neutralized numerous Hamas terrorists from the group’s northern and eastern Khan Younis battalions. The operations have inflicted significant damage to their command and control, thwarting large-scale attacks on Israeli troops.

Footage released by the IDF shows the reserve brigades in action in the Khan Younis area, targeting Hamas terrorists in tunnels and apprehending members of the terror group’s elite Nukhba force.

Colonel Mickey Sharvit, the commander of the Kiryati Brigade, emphasizes that in their operational zone, “there is no innocent infrastructure,” citing encounters with terror elements in various locations, including homes, hospitals, and schools. The IDF eliminated terrorists emerging from an underground tunnel in a school.

Reservist troops located and destroyed a Hamas tunnel shaft, leading to a passage of several hundred meters in the Khan Younis area. Colonel Sharvit notes that approximately 20 Hamas terrorists, including a company commander, were killed inside the tunnel. Five members of the Nukhba force surrendered to IDF troops after escaping the tunnel.

According to the IDF, the surrendered gunmen revealed to field interrogators that strikes on underground Hamas hideouts caused significant casualties, including the deaths of two company commanders from Hamas’s northern and eastern Khan Younis battalions.

Colonel Oded Ziman, the commander of the 55th Brigade, commends the “extraordinary” cooperation with the Israeli Air Force, highlighting swift and effective air support provided during an incident earlier that morning. An attack helicopter responded within two minutes of the request for assistance.

  7. Terror infrastructure? Don't you just mean more of Gaza? Somehow israel has killed 21,000+ civilians of which 9,000 kids so far. Who knows how many hundreds of thousands civilians injured.

    Israeli ministers openly calling for emigration of the remaining Palestinians when the IDF finish whatever they call this.
