A Twitch live-streamer caught the moment a powerful earthquake struck Japan’s west coast on Monday 1 January 2024.

The streamer, known as “Shiori”, was seen receiving an emergency alert on her phone before getting up and leaving the room.

She then returns after the 7.5-magnitude earthquake only to receive a tsunami warning.
